TASTE OF HISTORY: Seasonal Ice Cream Parlor is Open at C.V. Museum
Sprecher root beer, hand-scooped ice cream, candy necklaces, and more await

Take a sweet trip down memory lane; the Chippewa Valley Museum's ice cream parlor has re-opened for the season! The museum's ice cream parlor recreates the feel of those old-fashioned establishments that served treats, hand-scooped ice cream, and soda, and acted as neighborhood social spots.
The parlor serves inside so you can come in and cool off – or you can snag a sweet treat from the walk-up window and enjoy the outdoors. The parlor serves seven different ice cream flavors, rainbow sherbet, cones, dishes, and sundaes, and other snacks and sips. You'll be like a kid in a candy shop!
"Over a century ago, candy shops and ice cream parlors sold some combination of candy, baked goods, fruit, ice cream, soda, and more," Museum Executive Director, Carrie Ronnander, said. "By bringing back nostalgic candies and sodas, the museum recreates the charm of these classic confectionaries, giving guests a truly authentic taste of history."
The Chippewa Valley Museum's summer ice cream parlor is open all summer long, from Wednesday through Sunday, 1-5pm.

The Chippewa Valley Museum is located in Carson Park, at 1204 E. Half Moon Dr., Eau Claire.
