Video & Photo Producer / Editor (Full-Time)
Volume One, the Chippewa Valley’s award-winning and impactful digital media, video, and event company is seeking a dynamic, full-time videographer/photographer for a full-time position telling the stories of this community through our award-winning multi-media operation.
YOUR OPPORTUNITY
Collaborate with creative editorial, design, programming, and sales staff to ideate and create stylish short- and long-form videos for the web and other applications, as well as engaging photography for print and online. Spend your days shooting both in-studio and throughout the community, and planning and editing back at your desk. Video and photo content features both editorial/documentary and promotional/commercial projects for our collection of businesses, including our flagship publication and website Volume One. Partnerships with regional clients will also play a key role through the creation of unique branded and client content, as will product photography and commercial work for our retail division, The Local Store. This position serves as a key creative force in the community-oriented operations of our organization, and lead editor for all of Volume One’s photo and video content, working to develop the skills of other V1 staff, and cultivating relationships with video and photo contributors throughout the community.
TRAITS & QUALIFICATIONS
Successful candidates must demonstrate creative thinking in both editorial and business contexts, posses an artful approach to writing, shooting, and editing video/photo projects, and must be effective in journalistically interviewing subjects (largely from off-camera) and gathering information and footage to create compelling stories. The candidate should have a comprehensive understanding of the entire video project lifecycle, from proposal creation and pre-production development to production, post-production, and final delivery. They must have a degree in multi-media communication and/or relevant experience in both video production and photography, as well as lighting and audio recording, and possess an extensive knowledge of current video and photo equipment and editing software, including proficiency in graphics for video. Though not required, the ability to serve as on-camera talent would be a plus, as is experience in directing other talent from behind the camera.

This is a full-time, salaried position in a bright and interesting office space in downtown Eau Claire.
