Pedal Pizza Party: The Nxrth Hosts a Gravel Pizza Overnighter
Founder Josh Rizzo wants to combine biking, camping, and wood-fired pizza in new event
Josh Rizzo started the Nxrth this year as a way to bring people who love biking together, and now he is hosting a Gravel Pizza Overnighter event on Sept. 24-25.
The Gravel Pizza Overnighter is meant for bikepackers who have their own gear and can support their own ride. On Saturday, the ride will be about 50 miles long, with opportunities to stop for ice cream, cheese curds, or a drink.
The ride is unsupported, meaning everyone goes at their own pace and is responsible for their own navigation. The trail will be in Eau Claire and Clark Counties and ends at Wedges Creek pizza farm where there will be delicious wood-fired pizza, drinks, music, and some good ole’ camping fun. Dinner is not included with the ride, so be sure to bring your money with you.
The next morning, breakfast will be provided with Ruby Coffee and Nolcheck’s Sausage. The ride back home will only be about 25-30 miles.
Pricing ranges from $75-$115 depending on what kind of package you decide to purchase, and when. The early-bird deal ends on July 15.
If you are a biking enthusiast who wants to meet more like-minded people and spend time out on the road, this event is perfect for you.
