What’s on your healing agenda? Sarah Steinle opened The Healing Agenda to give locals as many options as possible when it comes to their health.

Housed in the same suite as Sugaring NYC, Steinle took on both Mall Drive businesses when she heard that the space was available back in May of this year. On top of the state-of-the-art body hair removal chain that has been at that location for over a year, Steinle has newly brought in a Sensory Deprivation Pod, an infrared sauna, Yoni Vagina Steam seats, and – most notably – a Halo Therapy Salt Cave as part of The Healing Agenda.

The salt cave is the first of its kind in the area, the next closest located in the Twin Cities. There is a generator on the other side of the wall that chops up pharmaceutical-grade particles of salt – the same substances found in nebulizers, only dry – that pulls mucus and bacteria out of the lungs. It is also great for folks with asthma, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), allergies, bronchitis, common colds, psoriasis, acne, eczema, anxiety, and more.

“You know when you’re in the ocean and the salt is in your body and in the air, you just feel better?” Steinle said. “That’s a real thing, and that happens here.”

Steinle hopes that the salt cave can be a spot for different healers to rent out and use for different classes or sessions. The space has already held yoga classes, breath work classes, sound baths, and meditations. People can also come to sit, relax, nap, and play in the salt for 45 minutes.

In addition to the salt cave, The Healing Agenda offers floating sessions in a Sensory Deprivation Pod, which holds more than 1,000 pounds of Epsom salt water that is temperature regulated to allow for a complete shutdown of your senses. One hour in the pod is equivalent to six hours of deep sleep and is great for anxiety, depression, inflammation, diabetes, high blood pressure, muscle recovery, and much more. The space is big enough to comfortably fit two people, which is why Steinle offers couples floats.

Another unique part of The Healing Agenda is the Yoni Vagina Steams, which are a seat you sit on to allow a boiling mix of herbs to produce steam that flows into … your nether regions. This practice comes from ancient Greece and is said to help with balancing PH, pregnancy, fertility, heavy cramps and periods, and bouncing back after pregnancy.

Steinle, who was raised in the area, has been a practicing massage therapist since 2014 and is passionate about helping people with their health issues through natural and holistic ways.

“I love improving people’s quality of life,” Steinle said. “(People often) come to me as a last resort, after the doctors and chiropractors and everybody else, and then this is where they find solutions.”
