If you’ve ever wanted to play simulated golf and more games while also snagging a drink and grub all at the same locale; today’s your lucky day. Dirty Birdie Golf Bar & Lounge is a wicked cool new lounge area in the same building as Wagner's Lanes, though they're unaffiliated.
As per its name, Dirty Birdie comes equipped with its very own golf simulator, holding more than 100 golf courses for patrons to play on. Additionally, the bar supports over 40 separate simulators other than golf.
“We’re talking basketball, baseball with a pitch and home-run derby, hockey, and soccer,” explained manager Jake Jensen. Not only are there traditional sporting games, but other unique simulated experiences such as Trap Shooting or Archery. His favorite would have to be their addition of Zombie Dodgeball. “My arm threw out, I’m pretty sure,” Jensen laughed.
To try out a simulator yourself, book a golf bay online and fill out two more steps, and pick your game of choice. Up to four people can enjoy one golf bay at a time, so you can bring friends or family along with you! The bays are 21+ after 5pm every day, and those under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Additional simulator games include bocce ball and carnival toss, sport shooting, baseball batting, bowling, and more.
Jensen, having a South Floridan background, plans to bring a very unique assortment of drinks to Dirty Birdie, including a Tropical Mojita, a specialty Arnold Palmer, a variety of whiskey options, hydrocarbons, and more; he plans to have a little something for everyone, and that goes beyond just drinks, too.
Food options include appetizers like a charcuterie sample and maple mini donuts, hot and cold dips, the Golf Bar Gyros, nachos and loaded baked potatoes, personal pizzas, and more.
With a huge variety of simulator games alongside slots and gambling-style machines, a fantastic array of food and drink options, live sporting events, and more, Dirty Birdie just about has it all.
“You can make a date night out of it, you can come bring the boys for a bachelor party, a pre-game spot in the afternoon; there are so many different things that can be done,” Jensen said.
Dirty Birdie's current hours are Monday-Thursday from 3-11pm and Friday-Sunday from 3pm-12am. Jensen noted these are "soft opening hours," and will change eventually.
