The warm days of summer will be coming to a close sooner than we think, and what better way to end than with a festival full of local musical performances and art of all kinds? Summer Sets Music & Arts Festival will be held for the very first time on Saturday, Aug. 19, kicking off at 10am and ending at 12:45am on Aug. 20 at the Dancing Yarrow and Farm to Fork Pizza (S193 County Road BB, Mondovi).
Music fans can look forward to performances by Pit Wagon, Drunk Drivers, Gash, Jim Pullman, Jerrika Mighelle, The Nunnery, Astronotever, and Tim Davis Trio. Wedged into the favorites-filled lineup are sets by local comedians Matt Hasenmueller, Charlie Roettger, and Max Strozzi. At 8:30pm, there will be a showing of short films created by Feels Like 95, a creative agency based in Minneapolis with ties to the Chippewa Valley. If that wasn’t enough to satisfy your arts hunger, there will also be pottery for sale by Dan Ingersoll and art from the Eau Claire Makers Market.
The event is organized by Sawdust City Limits and sponsored by Volume One. Tickets are $35 right now but will increase to $45 the week of the event (Aug. 14).
Feeling like making a whole night of the event? Tenting campsites are available for $20 and are assigned upon arrival, so make sure to get there first! A shuttle service will also be picking folks up from the UW-Eau Claire Fine Arts Lot on Water Street to take them to the venue for $20.
This locally star-studded and jam-packed event is sure to be an amazing way to send off the 2023 Chippewa Valley summer.
