A new era of The Master Singers is set to take the stage of the RCU Theatre at Pablo Center at The Confluence. Their Fall Concert, “I, Too, Sing America,” features the debut appearance of Dr. Frank Watkins as their conductor and artistic director. 

Watkins takes over for Dr. Gary Schwartzhoff, who retired after 30 years at the helm of the Eau Claire-based choral ensemble. The concert is on Sunday, Oct. 15, at 4pm, featuring singers from across the Chippewa Valley. Tickets for the concert are $25 before fees.

The choir will perform three sets; the middle set consists of one work: John Corigliano’s “Fern Hill.”  All selections will be performed a capella or with piano accompaniment.

The 31st season of The Master Singers continues the pattern of previous seasons, with a Fall Concert; two Christmas concerts (one in Eau Claire and another in Chippewa Falls); and a Spring Concert in March. Additionally, the ensemble is open to members joining mid-season. Anyone interesting in singing can find an audition form at themastersingers.net.
