Walking through those categories with a member allows us to personalize a game plan to move forward. We determine if they are ready now or if a future purchase would be better for their specific situation. We talk about goals and next steps and the timing of those steps,” she explained. “Once we get through our discussion, I can see the nervousness melt away from the member and it is replaced with relief and excitement.”

Kristin strongly feels that finding the right mortgage lender is important. “This can be a long, personal process. You need someone who is responsive to you and can confidently help with your situation. Find a lender who seems to connect with you and makes you feel heard and valued. That will be key to making home buying an enjoyable experience,” she said.
