“Life Can Never Be Too Much Fun” by Wendy Ike

Wendy Ike is a watercolor/acrylic/resin artist that will do anything to get out of cutting a mat.

“Life Can Never Be Too Much Fun” (2018) • Acrylic  Painting   From the artist: “‘Life Can Never Be Too Much Fun’ was inspired by the shenanigans horses pull when playing with each other.  It was a study in using as many vibrant colors as possible while still displaying form without getting lost. It makes one smile.”

Wendy Ike’s paintings reflect her passion for nature and her equine partners. She uses vivid colors and energetic brush stokes to show movement and evoke emotion.

Wendy graduated from Luther College with an art degree. She was a Flight Attendant for 31 years and now enjoys free time to ride her horses and of course, paint.  She is married to Tim who owns his own company installing gymnasium equipment.  She has two grown children.  Wendy has been awarded Honorable Mention two years in a row at the juried art show ArtsWest and been chosen to represent this area in the State WRAP exhibit and competition. She has been published in magazines and shows at numerous galleries.  Two of her pieces are owned and hung at the Mayo’s, Red Cedar Clinic.
