AFFECTION FOR CONFECTIONS: Catherine’s Confections Sweetens the Valley
this home baker can make your sweet dreams come to life
With humble beginnings in her home kitchen, friends and family encouraged Catherine Davis, owner and baker of Catherine’s Confections, to dream bigger. Catherine has combined that community support with her skillful hands, allowing her to get creative with her new baking business.
“I’ve picked up baking more recently because I have a 4-year-old daughter and I’ve been doing (more baking) for friends and family for events,” she said. “(I) decided to start baking to sell!”
Featuring cupcakes, cookies, and cake pops on her website, Catherine emphasizes that more options are available on request. Looking forward to out-of-the-box ideas and out-of-this-world flavors, Catherine takes baking to an entirely new level. She also uses an edible ink machine to make cookie decorating easy for all ages with her popular coloring book cookie kit.
“You want an out-of-the-box flavor? Let’s talk and
make something up! Dragon-themed cupcakes?
We can do that too!”

“We, as an area, love our sweets whether it’s ice cream or cakes,” she said. “But, I want to be able to bring (to the Chippewa Valley) those custom flavors or the unique things that you only see on TV shows, or Pinterest, or that you can only get if you drive up to Minneapolis.”
Catherine’s Confections caters something sweet for everyone, with future hopes to host cookie parties, decorating workshops, and more for the community.
“You want an out-of-the-box flavor? Let’s talk and make something up! Dragon-themed cupcakes? We can do that too!” she said, proudly. With her wild imagination and detailed determination, Catherine not only can do it all, but she challenges you to dream big and enjoy each joyous bite!
