Fans of early 2000s slapstick comedy, prepare for a whole lot of shenanigans. On Friday, June 21, Paul Soter and Erik Stolhanske, two stars of the 2001 hit comedy film, Super Troopers, will be in downtown Eau Claire for a special event.

If, somehow, you haven't seen the film, here's a brief summary: Super Troopers follows four Vermont State Troopers in the fictional town of Spurbury. After discovering a murdered woman could be connected to a large shipment of marijuana coming into town, the group of practical joke-playing troopers must come together to solve the case and save their station from being shut down. More than 20 year later, the film and a couple of its stars will be making their way to Eau Claire for one night only.

At 6:45pm and 7:15pm, two screenings of Super Troopers will play at the Micon Downtown Cinema (315 S. Barstow St., Eau Claire), both to be followed by appearances from Soter and Stolhanske, who play Trooper Carl Foster and Trooper Robbie “Rabbit” Roto in the film, and are part of the Broken Lizard comedy troupe.

After the screenings and Q&A at Micon, attendees are invited to a meet and greet and autograph signing with Soter and Stolhanske at The Plus (208 S. Barstow St., Eau Claire), where patrons can also enjoy food and cocktails. Tickets include a BOGO free drink ticket at The Plus and a complimentary 11x17 movie poster for the event.

Tickets for the event are $50, and you must attend the film screening to attend the meet and greet. Tickets for the event can be purchased at volumeonetickets.org.
