You’ve likely seen Green Fleet’s Teslas zipping around the Chippewa Valley as the locally-based luxury EV transport service frequently shuttles folks to the Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport. Founded in 2020, the company has expanded greatly in just a few years, and founder Bill Lobner was recognized for this growth with the 2023 Entrepreneur of the Year Award by Momentum West Wisconsin.
Momentum West Wisconsin, a regional economic development organization serving 10 area counties (including Chippewa, Dunn, and Eau Claire) announced Lobner as this year’s winner on June 18.
“Looking ahead, I want to show the Chippewa Valley, the states of Wisconsin and Minnesota, and the country that EVs are the way forward in the transportation industry. ”
BILL LOBNER
GREEN FLEET FOUNDER
“Bill Lobner and Green Fleet are providing a classic service in a new and modern way,” Steven Jahn, executive director of Momentum West, said in a recent media release. “With his recent expansion, the business now offers private cars and luxury shuttle services within a 300-mile radius of Eau Claire. With vehicle electrification increasing in popularity, Bill is helping make positive changes in West Central Wisconsin.”
Green Fleet operates an all-electric, all-Tesla SUV fleet for long-distance transportation, specifically airport transportation. The company offers Black Car/Private Service within 300 miles of Eau Claire, from Fargo to Chicago, and its Luxury Shuttle services within a 100-mile radius of Eau Claire and MSP.
“Our business is based on the fact people prefer convenience when traveling, especially business professionals,” Lobner said. “No one likes paying for gas, finding parking at the airport, or being unable to work/relax/sleep when traveling. We have the most affordable door-to-door service on the market. … Looking ahead, I want to show the Chippewa Valley, the states of Wisconsin and Minnesota, and the country that EVs are the way forward in the transportation industry.”
Green Fleet now offers more than 50 routes after starting with just one route from Eau Claire to MSP. The company aims to expand to connect all major cities in Wisconsin and Minnesota to MSP.
