E.C. Chamber Orchestra to Open 2024-25 Season Sept. 7
Derick Rehurek will be first of four guest conductors as part of ECCO’s music director search
The Eau Claire Chamber Orchestra (ECCO) will open its 2024-2025 season with “Young Schubert” on Saturday, Sept. 7 at 7:30pm at the Pablo Center. The first show of the season will also introduce a guest conductor as ECCO searches for its new music director.
Derick Rehurek, head of coffees for Dunn Brothers Coffee in St. Paul, Minnesota, and a freelance music director for various theatre companies, will be the first of four guest conductors as part of ECCO’s search.
Concert attendees are encouraged to come to the pre-concert talk at 7pm to learn about the pieces and get to know Rehurek. Pieces include Antonio Salieri’s Sinfonia, Franz Schubert’s Overture in D (D26), Beethoven’s Creatures of Prometheus, and Schubert’s Symphony No. 2.
Tickets are $29 plus Pablo Center fees and taxes. Those under the age of 21 can attend for free. Sept. 7 will also be the final day to purchase season tickets ($96 plus Pablo Center fees and taxes).
