“Long Horns” (2023) 20” x 20” Acrylic on canvas by Lila Tomczak • From the artist: “It was the shadow of the impressively long horn cast by the setting sun that inspired me to paint this piece. I love the fleeting moments when the sun illuminates a trail or glints just right off the water and “Long Horns” was the beginning of my attempts to capture these moments. My inspiration for painting comes mostly from nature and the freedom that comes with making art. Whether it's a landscape or pet portrait, weaving a basket or embroidering vegetables on a pair of overalls I truly just love running with any inspiration that hits. To see my other work or commission a painting of your own look for me on Facebook or Instagram! (There aren't many Lila Tomczaks out there :) )”
