“Hoffman Hills” by Megan Miller

Megan Miller is fascinated with light and its relationship to color.

“Hoffman Hills” (2023) 30” x 24” Oil on canvas by Megan Miller  From the artist: “We all carry places with us throughout our lives. Grandma’s kitchen, your best friend’s bedroom, the park in your old neighborhood. We create memories connected to the locations that help shape and guide our lives. In turn, we give identity to those places through our contact with them. ... ‘Hoffman Hills’ is part of a personal exploration of the environments that hold emotional significance to me. The combination of indoor and outdoor locations in this series, Connected Spaces, is based upon the intuitive feelings I get when I think of each place and the memories associated with them.”

Volume One finds its cover art in a number of ways, from local art shows to random emails to knowing someone who knows someone who knows a great artist. The art always originates from a current or former Chippewa Valley resident. If you'd like to submit cover art, send us a message.
