born from merger of two local orgs, faith-based nonprofit Tandem hits the ground running
V1 Staff |
A handful of months after Eau Claire Treehouse and Eau Claire Restorative Justice merged this spring, the newly unified organization is reintroducing itself as Tandem. Its mission? To support the Chippewa Valley by building intentional relationships among the community’s young people.
In a recent media release, the newly formed faith-based group shared its main focuses: support groups, restorative justice, and mentorship.
Read the full description from the media release:
Tandem has three defined focus areas: Support Groups, which use the Treehouse Hope Curriculum to connect 13-18-year-olds through weekly meetings with meals, discussion, and activities, recently expanded into local high schools; Restorative Justice, focusing on repairing trust and fostering healing through dialogue among victims, offenders, and community members; and Mentorship, which provides intentional, consistent relationships through natural interactions in support groups and events, including specialized support for those involved in restorative justice. The organization integrates these services to create a cohesive support network for youth, with a dedicated team ensuring effective implementation and mission fulfillment.
Beyond its Support Group sessions, Tandem also hosts Connect Nights, NEXT Nights, additional workshops, community service groups, and more.
The organization was also awarded a $30,000 Local Youth Outreach grant from the Pablo Foundation this fall to support its program implementation.
