‘You Might Be a Redneck If …’ You Put This Jeff Foxworthy Show on Your Calendar
legendary ‘Blue Collar’ comic slated for first-ever Eau Claire performance

Plenty of top-tier comedians have come through Eau Claire over the years, from George Carlin and Bill Engvall to Tom Segura and Brian Regan, but one all-American household name has never performed here: Jeff Foxworthy. That will change on March 22, when the iconic redneck comic – who famously asked Americans if they were smarter than a fifth-grader – will bring his live show to The Sonnentag Event Center.
A founder of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour, Foxworthy became a household name in the 1990s thanks to his relatable redneck one-liners, his sitcom, the game show Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?, his numerous Platinum-selling comedy albums, and plenty of touring – which, surprisingly, never took him to the Chippewa Valley until now.
Sharlae Vanis, communications coordinator at The Sonnentag, said the venue is excited to be the first to host Foxworthy locally. “This show is what has been missing, and we are looking forward to having him in the area,” she said in a media release.
Foxworthy will perform at Eau Claire’s newest, biggest venue on Saturday, March 22. Tickets will go on sale to the public at 10am Friday, Jan. 17, with a special pre-sale opportunity beginning at 10am on Wednesday, Jan. 15.
