After five years of back-to-back wins in the Best Of the Chippewa Valley Readers Poll, one thing is clear: locals love SahLan Nails & Spa. In 2025, owner Lan Pham Vu and the SahLan team are gearing up to give back to the community that has given so much to them, and that includes a big move – literally.

Founded in 2018 by Lan, SahLan Nails & Spa has thrived in its Eau Claire location, so much so that the team has outgrown it. This year, loyal clientele and new patrons alike will get the incredible customer service SahLan is known for, just in a brand new space.

“Thanks to our supportive clients, we are excited to announce our relocation to River Prairie, where we will bring 10 exceptional technicians with us,” Lan said. “Our new space will feature a cozy spa environment, offering upgraded beauty services along with refreshing beverages and snacks.

“For the people who have continued to vote us the No. 1 salon year after year, we want our location to feel like the No. 1 salon too. People enjoy coming to a relaxed, clean, welcoming environment and leaving with beautiful nails, and that will continue at the new location.”

Lan’s background in healthcare and science has created effective, top-tier sanitation routines at SahLan, allowing for a clean, organized, trendy space that clientele love. Paired with her training in business administration, Lan has led with clear vision and created an environment that is as enjoyable for the SahLan team as it is for clients.

While the SahLan team is keeping the location of their soon-to-be new home under wraps for now, Lan said it will be nearly double the size of SahLan’s current location. The larger space will allow for more technicians to work, serving even more clients; feature upgraded technology; and additional services like massage and lashes. SahLan will also begin offering memberships once settled into River Prairie as another way to thank its loyal clientele.

As for the current salon, Lan won’t be getting rid of the space – she’ll be reinvesting in it. On top of the move to River Prairie this year, Lan is in the process of opening a nonprofit manicure school, offering students access to the tried-and-true tools and services a working salon uses.

“When I decided to open SahLan, it gave me the opportunity to be my own boss and support my family while doing something I enjoyed. I have grown and learned a lot over the past six years; It’s been hard work, and rewarding. With the school, I will be able to give others that same opportunity,” Lan said.

Since 2018, SahLan has partnered with and sponsored a variety of community events, including the area YMCAs, the Chippewa Valley Technical College, local elementary schools, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and more. The nonprofit manicuring school is an extension of SahLan’s community involvement and their mission to give back as much as they can.

As Lan actively works toward obtaining her license to open the nonprofit school – which will serve the community by providing low-cost services while offering valuable skills to both women and men to launch successful careers – she hopes the new offering will empower community members to invest in themselves.
