A storied local music festival is set to return with one of its most unique lineups yet. Decadent Cabaret brings dozens of bands together annually over the course of three days to celebrate all things music. This year the festival will take place from Thursday, Feb. 27, through Saturday, March 1, at the Brickhouse (2233 Birch St., Eau Claire). Notable inclusions on this year’s lineup include FM Down, The Rattlenecks, Motherwind, The Over Unders, The Driftless Revelers, Stare Across, Uncommon Denominator, and dozens more.

Musician and co-organizer of Decadent Cabaret, Andrew Liss said the festival has been able to stay relevant for nearly 50 years thanks to the uniqueness of the setup and the talent on display. Every band either performs an original set, or they cover the discography of another artist. In past years, bands have performed the songs of AC/DC, Prince, Green Day, Fleetwood Mac, Johnny Cash, and many more. This year, 35% of the bands in the lineup have never appeared at the festival, so attendees are in for a treat.

“The excitement around Decadent Cabaret is that you never know what you’re going to get as each band/artist is given 25 minutes to perform whatever they’d like,” Liss said. “Featuring two stages, Decadent Cabaret 44 will be a weekend of nonstop musical bliss, guaranteed to satisfy.”
