Local Songwriter Tim Case Set To Release Debut Album April 8
tracks featured in ‘Hall of Mirrors’ reveal Case's yearning to connect with the musical world around him
Stylistically, Case is similar to relevant folk/rock artists such as Wilco, Tom Petty, Neil Young, and Jason Isbel. Case has performed original music and covers at venues and open mics around the Chippewa Valley since 2022 — culminating in Hall of Mirrors — a project Case said has given him purpose and passion outside of normal everyday life.
“Performing music makes me feel really connected to this community,” Case said. “It’s a great outlet to express myself and be able to connect with like-minded people who are interested in supporting each other. I’m happy with the role music is playing in my life currently and I’m excited for people to hear this record.”
The singer-songwriter said the core theme of his latest album revolves around his desire to forge deeper connections with those around him. Case believes these relationships are essential for him to fully understand his roles as a father, husband, friend, and musician.
“There is an overarching theme of wanting to connect — spread over all of these songs,” Case said. “That mixes well with the title of the album, because it is getting harder and harder to tell the difference between truth and fiction in today’s world.”
Hall of Mirrors by Tim Case will be available April 8 on various streaming services. He will perform an album release show at 7pm on Saturday, May 10, at 2 Roots Art & Wine Gallery (216 S Barstow St.) in Eau Claire.
