One of the state’s most popular rock festivals welcomes several Chippewa Valley-based bands this summer.

Northwoods Rock Rally, founded in 2007, is set for Aug. 14-16 in Glen Flora. Just over an hour's drive north from Eau Claire, the festival is known to feature notable up-and-coming rock bands, regional favorites, and big names across its several stages.

The festival this year features Escape The Fate as the headliner, with additional performances by Black Stone Cherry, Royal Bliss, Devour The Day, Tim Montana, and Keith Wallen. However, those in Eau Claire with a keen eye on the local music scene will spot some familiar names.

Motherwind, Stare Across, Dressed To Kill, and To Be Alive are just a few of the locally-rooted bands included in this year’s Rock Rally. The 70-plus mile distance between E.C. and Glen Flora has not yet dampened their reach, as these local groups have quickly become staples in the festival’s annual lineup.

“Heart-pounding anthems and stage presence that’s all fire and no fear – that’s what Northwoods Rock Rally nights are made for. The only question is – are you ready for it?” the festival wrote in a recent social media post.

Hosted by "Scary Terry" of 94.7 The Beast and "T-Ri" of Eau Claire's 92.9 The X, several vendors – including Colorful Sin Tattoo – will also be on-site with food and drinks, merchandise, and more.

One-day and multi-day festival tickets are still up for grabs online, prices ranging from $60-$99 before fees. Details about campsite availability for those who want to camp at the festival are on the Rock Rally website.
