‘Joy To The Word’ Blends Seasonal Stories & Sonic Sequences For A Night Of Community
annual event, presented by the Chippewa Valley Writers Guild returns on Dec. 18
“Whether you’re craving a little nostalgia, laughter, or just a cozy night out, bundle up and gather at Pablo Center at the Confluence for a celebration of the season like no other,” the Chippewa Valley Writers Guild (CVWG) shared online.
Since 2016, the area writers’ organization has committed to supporting writers throughout the Chippewa Valley in every season. This holiday season, the CVWG once again rejoices at the chance to share sounds and stories through its annual “Joy to the Word” program at 7pm on Dec. 18 at the Pablo Center at the Confluence (128 Graham Ave, Eau Claire).
As is tradition with the event, the Pablo Center welcomes writers and multimedia creatives to the Marilyn Schaefer Riverfront Hall for an evening of storytelling and sonic interpretations of what the holidays mean to residents and attendees alike.
This year, CVWG members and writers including Ken Szymanski, Patti See, Justin Schenck, and Jerrika Mighelle will present their latest works — accompanied by the merry melodies of the Ukulele Klub of Eau Claire (UKE).
Prepare to enjoy some of the holiday seasons’ greatest songs — specifically curated to complement this year’s heartwarming stories. The event celebrates community, cheer and the joy of coming together, the Pablo Center website reads.
Tickets to the annual sounds and storytelling event are $17.98/person and available to purchase online through the Pablo Center webpage, pablocenter.org or in person at the box office.
