“Morning SMOOze“ by Natalie Vilter

Natalie Vilter (she/her) is a children's book illustrator with a BFA in illustration from Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Her illustration work revolves around memories of growing up in the rural midwest and educational illustrations that are engaging to young audiences. She uses playful perspectives and energetic shapes to create flowing illustrations. With each work, the viewer is able to reflect on childhood memories of their own. “Morning SMOOze” (2022) • 18" x 12" • Digital • About the artwork, from the artist: “Much of Natalie's work follows along her fondness for growing up in the rural midwest. This work in particular is a tribute to the bond 4Hers have with their animals. For this piece, she played a lot with line and texture to create a rustic appeal.
