As the summer months wind down, the annual Clearwater Jazz & Art Festival brings a weekend complete with nonstop jazz music, local art and community celebration from Aug. 28-29 at The Brewing Projekt (1807 N Oxford Ave.) in downtown Eau Claire.
This free to attend festival fills the multi-level space with local jazz musicians and visual artists – all while enjoying craft beverages or a bite to eat from area food vendors. The 2026 lineup features the duo “Take That Back,” starring Sue Orfield and Joan Hutton, who will perform in the evening from 7pm-9pm on Aug. 28.
The duo blends "soulful melodies with intricate arrangements" and will be backed by Ted Godbout (keys), Kameron Markworth (basses) and David Schmalenberger (drums).
Festivities continue on Aug. 29 from noon-10pm, with performances – across The Brewing Projekt's main stage, art gallery and outdoor patio – by the Cathy Reitz Trio, Keegan Luedtke, Weapons of Brass Destruction and many more.
"The Weapons of Brass Destruction let the good times roll at any occasion," organizers shared online. "Their musical roots are definitely from the Crescent City, but don’t look for run-of-the-mill Dixieland here ... Weapons of Brass Destruction tries to cover the whole century of New Orleans-influenced musical styles."
A dozen featured visual artists – spanning metal artwork, woodworking, film photography and more – include Bruce Warren, Terry Meyer, Mindy Huntress, Molly Linton, among others. Don’t miss this signature summer tradition and mark your calendars for new sounds, sights and live entertainment at every corner.
