Learn the basics of spinning fibers with a drop spindle with instructor Kathy Stockton-Behnke. Use a weighted tool to add twist to fiber, turning loose wool or other prepared fiber into yarn. The spindle hangs freely as it spins, using gravity to help draft the fiber downward while twist travels upward into the fiber supply. As twist builds, the fibers lock together and form yarn.
