Best-selling Chippewa Valley author Michael Perry released his latest book, a novella titled Forty Acres Deep, with a reading and musical performance on Thursday, Jan. 19, at The Local Store at Volume One World Headquarters. The event, which was attended by an overflow crowd, featured musicians Sean Carey and Ben Lester, as well a discussion by Perry of how Carey’s most recent album, Break Me Open, influenced his writing of the book.
