This year's Blues on the Chippewa, the annual free-to-attend music festival to benefit area organizations, was held along the shore of the Chippewa River, Aug. 1-3. While free to attend, the musical shindig continues to raise money for local groups including the Durand Area Food Pantry, Pepin County Humane Society, senior citizens programs, and more.
About a dozen additional performances were held across the three-day festival. This year's headliners included Lachy Doley (also called the 'Jimi Hendrix of keyboards' by fellow musicians), electric bassist Nik West, and Chicago-born powerhouse Demetria Taylor.
