While the highly anticipated opening of Market on River (MOR) in Chippewa Falls is still a few weeks out – the official grand opening is slated for Dec. 5 – the public got its first taste of the multi-use building and Wisconsin Farmers Union headquarters this past Saturday, Nov. 15, at the Winter Market.

Host to 30-plus vendors – plus, in-house businesses The Juggery, Captain Coop’s Trading Post, The Mercantile, JimBob's Pizza, Hiker Coffee, and TemptAsians were open! – the Winter Market event was filled with folks shopping shoulder-to-shoulder. At noon, Inga Witscher-Orth – local farmer and host of PBS Wisconsin’s Around the Farm Table – hosted a live holiday-themed demo as well.
