After weeks of growing excitement from members of The Jaggernauts, a longtime alternative punk band based in Eau Claire, the group introduced locals to its latest character – "Skeleduck" – at a record release party July 10 at Mousetrap Tavern (311 S Barstow St., Eau Claire).
The Jaggernauts would debut a 7-inch vinyl project – a joint effort with Madison-based band, The Known Unknowns, who also performed live on the Mousetrap Tavern's fringe, quaint stage. DeGoey Moore Band, based in Oshkosh, opened up the evening with a collection of tracks with a sound comparable to the early hardcore punk eras of the 1980s and 1990s.
The vinyls, CDs and other themed merchandise from The Jaggernauts were only available to purchase in person beginning that night – a caveat and special offering for locals only in attendance.
Chippewa Vallians can now pick up copies of either the Skeleduck/Intel 101 vinyl ($10) or the Skeleduck CD ($5) at The Abraxas, Revival-Records, and The Local Store & Volume One Gallery in downtown Eau Claire, respectively.
