It’s that magical time of summer when creative visions are brought to life through pieces of chalk, fantastical imagery and of course, the waves of attendees who stop by to enjoy an evolving display of art. Chalkfest returned for its 19th season on Aug 1. at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, promising a day filled with local talent and camaraderie.

Organizers deemed the 2026 Chalkfest as another resounding success; they pointed to the fact that every single chalking square (200+) sold out completely – proof to Chalkfest's continued growth since its inception in 2008.

Open voting for the Adult Individual, Youth Individual, and Group prizes – among other honorable mentions – continued from through 4:30pm on Saturday.
