When Dennis Beale first arrived in Eau Claire, one of his earliest experiences was being pulled over – in the dead of winter – for simply having an air freshener on his rear-view mirror. Since then, he’s devoted his skills and his life’s work to making the Chippewa Valley more accepting, and providing opportunities for the next generation of Black and biracial people in the area.
