Five Food Events in August

Don't let summer slip by without enjoying some grub in the sunshine! Here are five food-focused events happening in August throughout the Chippewa Valley. There's something for everyone! (But just in case you're lookin' for more, you can always visit our Events Calendar.)
1. Grand Evening on the Bridge
Wednesday, Aug. 14 • 5:30-8:30pm • $125/person, $600/table of six • Grand Avenue Footbridge
Downtown Eau Claire Inc.’s largest annual fundraiser. A multi-course meal served by downtown restaurants and a cocktail hour, served on the Grand Avenue Bridge. Your ticket includes a multi-course meal with a fine selection of beverage pairings prepared and served by DECI member caterers and downtown restaurants including Houligan’s Steak & Seafood Pub, The Informalist, Cuisine De France by Dominique, and The Court ’N House.
2. Wine Dinner on the Farm
Wednesday, Aug. 14 • 6-8pm • $65/person • 21+ • Together Farms (W93 Norden Rd., Mondovi)
Chef Andrew Johnson will delight with a night of food, wine, and fun with pairings arranged by William the Wine Guy. A cash bar will also be available beginning at 5pm. If you have specific allergies, reach out to the venue beforehand.
3. Sweet Corn Fest
Saturday, Aug. 17 • 11am-4pm • Outlaw Farms (E16755 Scenic Dr., Fall Creek)
Stop out at the farm to get delicious Outlaw Sweet Corn and see their animals – they're a family-run petting farm! – and shop vendors. Free to attend, all ages welcome.
4. Shrimp Boil
Saturday, Aug. 17 • 5-7pm • $22.99/person • Club Ten (W4570 US-10, Durand)
An interactive chef presentation will deliver delicious shrimp and fixings, a communal dining experience, and live music on an outdoor stage. Club Ten is also home to bowling lanes. All ages welcome.
5. Sauced: Field Market + Flavor Fair
Sunday, Aug. 25 • Noon-6pm • Fire Away Roadhouse & Rest Camp (1190 25th St., Cameron)
This cool event will showcase local sauces, seasonings, spices, syrups, food and beverage vendors, and more, while inviting flavor enthusiasts across the Chippewa Valley to try out some samples and shop. Leashed dogs are welcome with family-friendly activities happening, plus live music. Free to attend, all ages welcome.
