An Eau Claire kid at her roots, McKenna Scherer graduated from Winona State University with a B.A. in Mass Communication with an emphasis in journalism, public relations, and film studies. After suffering among a sea of Vikings fans for four years (half-kidding) she returned to the Chippewa Valley and jumped into the world of Volume One. As Associate Editor, she wrote hundreds of articles, photographed area events, honed her design skills, earned a Milwaukee Press Club award, and fell back in love with her hometown. Now as Managing Editor, she leads the editorial team and continues to tell the community's stories through print and digital content.
