An Eau Claire kid at her roots, McKenna Scherer graduated from Winona State University with a B.A. in mass communication-journalism, public relations, and film studies. After suffering among a sea of Vikings fans (only half-kidding about the suffering part) she returned to the Chippewa Valley and jumped into the world of Volume One. As an editor at V1, she has written hundreds of articles, photographed area events, honed her design skills, earned a Milwaukee Press Club award, and fallen in love with her hometown – and its community – all over again.
