The Chippewa Valley’s Go Paint! event, which has invited artists to create plein air pieces inspired by the region’s natural beauty annually for more than a decade, will be getting a refresh in 2025.

The Pablo Center at the Confluence announced Sept. 6 that it is continuing the annual tradition of celebrating the community’s art scene and environmental beauty with the event – now called Pablo Paints Plein-Air – while rejiggering some aspects of the multi-day event.

As in previous years, the plein air event will occur over the course of several days, inviting artists to paint in various locations throughout the Chippewa Valley, with prizes awarded across several categories for both professional and amateur artists and resulting in an exhibition at the Pablo Center.

“Reviving and reimagining the Go Paint Chippewa Valley event as ‘Pablo Paints Plein-Air’ allows us to continue the tradition of celebrating our community’s vibrant art scene while introducing a fresh and exciting experience for artists and spectators alike,” Jason Jon Anderson, the Pablo Center’s executive director, said in a recent media release.

Pablo Paints Plein-Air will aim to highlight the region’s natural beauty while fostering a sense of community among artists, art enthusiasts, and the general public. The Pablo Center will share more details on registration, the events schedules, locations, and more will be shared in the coming months.
