National burger-and-fries chain Five Guys is giving the Eau Claire area a second go. Announced on Friday, Jan. 17, Five Guys will be joining Panera Bread and Wingstop in two new developments off of Clairemont Avenue.

NAI Commonweal Director of Brokerage Ryan Erickson said he estimates Five Guys will open in mid-2025, filling the 1,300 square-foot space next to Wingstop. In early 2024, Panera Bread was confirmed as the first tenant in the new strip at 813 W. Clairemont Ave., marking its second Eau Claire location (the first at 4601 Keystone Crossing).

Wingstop and Five Guys will be neighbors in this new development.

Five Guys opened its first local location in 2018 at Oakwood Mall where it remained until it closed its doors almost exactly one year ago, on Jan. 14, 2024. Erickson was not certain if the new Claremont Avenue Five Guys will be operated by the same people who ran the original Eau Claire location.

With this latest addition, there is one 1,350-square-foot retail space left in the strip now slated to house Panera Bread, Wingstop, and Five Guys. To learn more about the location, reach out to NAI Commonweal.
