Find 9 miles of beautiful skiing trails at Beaver Creek Reserve (S1 County Hwy. K, Fall Creek). They’re groomed often, with maps and directional signs at every major crossway. Tower Ridge Recreation Area (955 S. 82nd Ave., Eau Claire) is the largest cross-country ski area in western Wisconsin. There’s no question as to why Tower Ridge places second in our favorites, with 12 miles of trails and wooded, rolling terrain, all varying in difficulty. Lowes Creek County Park (5238 S. Lowes Creek Road, Eau Claire) has 250 acres of gorgeous trails, laid out across both sides of the trout stream running throughout the entire park.  –Kelly Carlson
