On Friday, May 6 Mel Brooks' laugh-out-loud musical, The Producers, was performed by the Chippewa Valley Theater Guild at the State Theater. A scheming producer and his mousy accountant discover that under the right circumstances they can make more money producing a Broadway flop than a hit.
