Shaun Johnson's Big Band Experience

Johnson blends the musical styling of Tony Bennett with Michael Bublé to create a contemporary big band sound with a pop flair. The eight-piece band features musicians who have played with The Temptations, Aretha Franklin, and Johnny Mathis, and have been honored with Music Teacher of the Year awards. Johnson is an Emmy-winning singer/songwriter and the lead singer of the nationally known a cappella group Tonic Sol-fa. The Big Band Experience took place on Thursday, April 16 at the State Theater as part of UWEC's Jazzfest 2015.
