The Chippewa Steel hockey team pucked it up against the Minnesota Wilderness this past Friday, Dec. 9, at the Chippewa Area Ice Arena. More than 300 people attended the game – which was also country night, encouraging folks to giddy up in their best gear – with the hometown team skating away with the win, 9-7, marking their third win in a row.

Chippewa Steel's next games are on Thursday, Dec. 15 and Friday, Dec. 16, while the final game of 2022 is Saturday, Dec. 31. Friday’s game is also the Steel’s annual Teddy Bear Toss, all toys and money donated at the home game going to the Spirit of Christmas organization.
