This year’s The Past Passed Here event, held annually in Chippewa Falls, marks 21 years of the area favorite. The event brings local history to life through interactive experiences that folks of all ages can enjoy, featuring classic historic-themed grub and shopping options plus demonstrations of blacksmithing, buffalo hide tanning, wood carving, and much more.
This year, local third- and fourth-grade students will explore the outdoor event Wednesday-Friday to experience pioneer life. During those days, the settlement is not open to the public. On Saturday and Sunday, May 11-12, however, the public is invited to spend their day living in the past!
The event, held in Marshall Park, is open to the public on Saturday, May 11, from 9am-6pm and Sunday, May 12, from 11am-4pm. Admissions is $6/adult or $15/family, children ages 5 and under get in for free. Learn more at thepastpassedhere.org.
