The annual Wisconsin Science Festival, which ran Oct. 14-20, included more than 200 events in dozens of communities around the state aimed at cultivating scientific curiosity. On Friday, Oct. 18, a couple of Science Fest events were held in Eau Claire. First, “Ready, Set, Science: Family Science Fest Expo” featured science demonstrations in the lobby of the Pablo Center at the Confluence. Later at the L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library, “Science Theatre – Fun with Liquid Nitrogen” showcased the amazing things that happen when the common gas becomes uncommonly cold.
