"The illuminati have disappeared back into the shadows...for now, anyway," Two Griffins Theatre organizers shared online following the run of its latest stage play, "Houdini."

Performed at The Grand Theatre (102 W Grand Ave., Eau Claire) from Oct. 22-24, this production – written by founding members James and Chris Finn – presented an otherworldly narrative of magic, mystery and illusion.

In the play, the "Great Magician" Harry Houdini has been dead for many years. His long-grieving widow, Bess, cannot accept that he is truly gone.

Driven by powerful grief and unanswered questions, his long-grieving widow spends years attempting to reconnect with her departed husband through countless spiritual seances.

Close to abandoning all hope, an unexpected, long-lost friend appears to show her the pathway back to her long-dead husband.
