Lake Menomin is a 10009 acre man-made reservoir with abundant public boat landings and great fishing spots for large/smallmouth bass, northern pike, panfish, and walleye. The trail system at Lake Menomin Park has mountain biking trails with varied difficulty, and hiking trails. There are heavily wooded portions with native plant species, small ponds, and meadows to enjoy.

Red Cedar State Trail

Main Trailhead and Depot at 912 Brickyard Road, Menomonie

A 14.5 mile trail system stretching from Lake Menomin, down the Red Cedar River, to the junction with the Chippewa River. A crushed stone path with small bluffs, Red Cedar Falls waterfall, frequent Bald Eagle sightings, a trip across a trestle bridge, and stops in the small towns of Irvington and Downsville.
