GET YOUR HAUNT ON: 4 Haunted Trails and Houses to Check Out
it’s that time of year when the air starts to chill and folks look for a spooky thrill
Thanks to the local farms and area organizations who enjoy getting into the Halloween spirit of tricks, treats, and scares, there are quite a few opportunities for folks who seek out spooky events. Here are a handful of local haunted houses and trails put on through the month of October:
1. CarnEvil Haunted House

The Ski Sprites host a haunted house each year, and it’s always a wicked good time! This year, the haunted house’s theme will play on creepy carnival scare tactics every Thursday- Saturday in October. Frequently voted the Best Haunted Attraction in the 2023 Best of the Chippewa Valley Reader Poll, anyone looking for a true fright won’t want to miss this year’s event!
2. Twisted Tales of Horror Haunted Trail
Every Friday-Saturday from 6-10pm in October • Govin’s Farm • $15/person • More info
Govin’s Farm is a local favorite for its array of public on-the-farm events, but its haunted trail is not for the faint of heart. This year’s haunted trail boasts slashers, creatures, monsters, and utter mayhem. Kids ages 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult. 3. Field of Screams Haunted Trail and Barn

4. Screamin’ Hollow Haunted Trail

This first-time event is taking over a half-mile of haunted woodsy trail at the Country and Rock Fest campgrounds, putting on a whole new show for folks. The first-time event will also feature food trucks, drinks, live music, tractor rides, and more! Kids ages 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
