Red Cedar Speedway: Meet the Drivers Night With Racing, Ice Cream, and More
Red Cedar Speedway Kids Club hosts kids event along with fundraising for CVTC Mechanic Program
Ready to have wheelie good time? Red Cedar Speedway in Menomonie is hosting a Meet the Drivers Night for members of its Kids Club. On Friday, May 20, starting at 5pm, drivers will bring their cars along the front stretch of the race track for kids to experience up close and personal.
Youthful racing enthusiasts can come early before the race to meet the drivers, take pictures with them, enjoy ice cream and candy, bounce in a bounce house, and even ride in a school bus that drives on the racetrack before racing begins at 7pm. Two bikes will also be given away as prizes to members of the Kids Club (membership is just $5 a year, and includes a T-shirt, a goodie bag, and more).
Along with Meet the Drivers Night, Track Gives Back Night will also be held the same evening. Half of the 50/50 sales of the night’s fundraised proceeds will go to the Chippewa Valley Technical College Mechanic Program and Robert Frederico Scholarship, said Tara Prochnow, marketing director at Red Cedar Speedway.
Tickets are $15 for adults; $10 for students, senior citizens, and military members; and free for kids age 12 and under. Enjoy an evening of speed and fun for kids and parents alike as an opening event for summer break.
