The “Best Kept Secret” category is a bit of a contradiction, as the second we publish poll results, these finishers immediately switch to “Worst Kept Secrets.” But letting the proverbial cat out of the bag is what we love to do! Devil’s Punchbowl (410th St, Menomonie) is a unique bowl-shaped geologic feature outside Menomonie that recently received several updates to better host curious visitors. Weaver’s County Store (E 13855 US 12, E13765 US-12, Fall Creek) on Highway 12 just past Fall Creek is an ever-expanding cornucopia of plants, patio furniture, and bulk foods, and 3rd & Vine (1929 3rd St, Eau Claire) is a magnificent little spot featuring a huge selection of craft beers and cheese boards.
