MORE METAMORPHOSIS. Beaver Creek's Butterfly House opened up Tuesday, July 5, and will remain open through the summer.

It’s time to flutter on over to Beaver Creek Reserve’s Butterfly House for another open season! 

Unfurling for its 2022 season just this morning, the Butterfly House will be open Monday-Saturday from 11am-3pm and Sundays 12-3pm each week until its September closing, weather permitting. 

“Keep an eye on the weather forecast! The Butterfly House is an outdoor building only covered by a screen, if it rains, the butterflies will not be flying around inside,” Beaver Creek posted on its Facebook page. “So the house will be closed on rainy days.”

Housing butterflies like the Monarch, a well-known orange-colored favorite, Northern Pearly Eye butterflies, American Lady butterflies, and more, the space is also home to growing caterpillars and native area plants. 

Admission to the beautiful Butterfly House is included in Beaver Creek’s daily admission, $5 for adults and $3 for kids ages 3-15.

Beaver Creek also has a special donation fund just for the Butterfly House. The Jim Schweibert Butterfly House Fund provides long-term financial support for the space, used for supplies and unexpected repairs.
