Drs. Grace Lee, Steve Kristo, and Camille Herzog
Kristo Orthodontics is one of the Chippewa Valley’s enduring homegrown success stories.
Dr. Steve Kristo has been creating life-changing smiles since 1988 when he joined Kristo Orthodontics after his father, Dr. Andrew Kristo, had founded the practice nearly 30 years earlier. Starting from one clinic in Eau Claire, Kristo Orthodontics now operates 12 statewide locations.
“Seeing the joy and smiles on patients’ faces is what motivates me to provide a truly special and extraordinary orthodontic experience for our patients, just like my father when he started our family-owned practice in 1959,” Dr. Kristo said.
As the business has grown, there is a unique combination of longtime experience with highly qualified and caring team members. “We want every kid, adult, and parent that walks into our practice to feel welcome — and we want everyone to enjoy their time with us,” Dr. Kristo said.
Drs. Camille Herzog and Grace Lee echo Dr. Kristo’s genuine commitment to the community; both to the patients who continue to put their trust in the Kristo team and the wider Chippewa Valley.
For Dr. Grace, Kristo Orthodontics’ clear dedication to its people is what drew her to the local practice. “Kristo Orthodontics has such a strong reputation in the Chippewa Valley — not only for providing excellent orthodontic care, but also for being deeply invested in the community,” she said.
Dr. Camille, too, followed her gut in seeking a work environment that centered on community. “It was important for me to live and work in a town with a strong sense of community,” she said. “I was especially excited to join the Kristo team because of their longstanding commitment to the community, not only in providing great patient care but also in supporting and sponsoring local groups, teams, events, and activities.”
“I’m excited to contribute to that legacy while continuing to serve the Chippewa Valley,” Dr. Camille said.
“Kristo Orthodontics has such a strong reputation in the Chippewa Valley — Not only for providing excellent orthodontic care, but also for being deeply invested in the community.”
Further, Kristo Orthodontics aims to meet folks where they’re at. They offer no-obligation, one-on-one consultations with doctors and an expert team, and flexible payment options with $0 down and 0% interest financing. Not to mention, they are proud to work with all insurance plans, so everyone who needs orthodontic care can receive it at Kristo Orthodontics. Their goal is to keep everyone in the Chippewa Valley smiling for life.
The local team has seen more interest in orthodontic treatment from adults, especially as new technology and offerings become available. One of those options includes Invisalign® clear aligners — available for children, teens, or adults to give everyone confidence in their smile.

Kristo Orthodontics offers free consultations for children, teens, and adults.
Today, more than 40% of Kristo’s patients use Invisalign — which Kristo has provided for more than 20 years — including about 90% of adult patients. By creating a welcoming environment and flexibility with appointment scheduling, Kristo is able to reach more people looking for effective, convenient orthodontic treatments.
“More and more adults are choosing orthodontic treatment. It’s exciting to help them achieve the smile they’ve always wanted,” Dr. Grace said. “Many adults are drawn to options like Invisalign and clear braces because they are discreet and fit easily into professional and family life.”
For kids, Kristo Orthodontics’ care goes beyond their teeth. The Confidence Counts Club — open to kids ages six and up — provides children with a free orthodontic evaluation upon enrollment, aiming to promote annual exams which inform personalized treatment plans for every child.
The club also hosts free, fun events across the Chippewa Valley for kids and the wider community. Beyond the Confidence Counts Club, Kristo is deeply involved with local organizations and events.
While being an orthodontist allows the Kristo doctors to positively impact so many individuals’ lives, that work continues outside of the office too. Dr. Camille and Dr. Grace noted an abundance of organizations the team is proud to support: the Eau Claire Children’s Theatre, the local YMCA, Valley Sports Academy, the Eau Claire Marathon, the Boys & Girls Club, and more.
Kristo also partners with Eau Claire, Chippewa, and Rice Lake public and private schools, sponsoring sports teams and providing in-class brushing clinics during National Children’s Dental Health Month!
“I don’t think there’s a better value play for someone who wants to improve their overall health, their aesthetics, their smile, and overall confidence and quality of life,” Dr. Kristo said. “I’m dedicated to providing the highest-quality orthodontic care that creates healthy, amazing smiles that function well and build self-esteem.”
