Honorable Mention: All servers who worked throughout the pandemic. Sometimes the difference between a fantastic night on the town, and leaving an awful Google review after a restaurant visit, is how friendly your server is. The biggest tip in this category goes to Betty Nix at Houligans (415 S. Barstow St., Eau Claire), who was was the crème de la crème of servers this past year, offering a smile to customers who came through the doors year round. John Conklin at Northern Tap House (5020 Keystone Crossing, Eau Claire) showed that great service is always on tap while he is behind the counter, while George Paquette at Cowboy Jack’s (1432 Front Porch Place, Altoona) spread the country love to patrons all year round. And can we get a round of applause for all of the servers who continue to brave the pandemic to bring you tasty food and beverages during these uncertain times? They truly are the real rockstars of the food industry in these uncertain times. — Parker Reed
